Very busy at the point
Hello Friends,
At 0700 the wind drifted around to the WNW at 9-13 kts, so surface conditions were somewhat sideshore and choppy at the point. As with yesterday, sets were into the head plus range at the point and the beach was looking pretty much unsurfable. The swell was 2.85 m at nearly 13 seconds apart from the SSE, so it’s all shutdowns on the open stretch. With surf options limited to the point, the crowd was in the 20-30 range by 0800.
Water is on 20C according to Beachwatch and first tide of the day is a 0.5 m low at 1025. The 1.6 m high arrives at 1655.
Outlook you ask? Ah well, it’s Friday, so may I refer you to the Wisdom of the Goat…
Go well with your day and know your limits if you’re contemplating getting in the water
