Dee Why continues marginal on Monday morning

Hello Friends, Another day of barely catchable dribble for Dee Why surfers. The wind’s been blowing NNE all nightand as of 0730 was 8-13 kts. Swell was coming from the east at 1.5 metres but with a choppy 7- second period.

Hello Friends, Another miss-able day for Sydney surfers. The wind’s been ESE since yesterday evening, so as you can see from the pictures, the ocean is not looking inviting. At 0400 the 2 metre swell was coming from the east at 10 seconds apart.

Hello Friends, As expected, the SSE to ESE wind was still doing its thing this morning. At 0700 the MHL buoy was showing 2.9 metres of 11.8-second east swell and as the pictures show the combination was doing anything for the beaches between Dee Why and North Narrabeen.

1400 update: As of 1330, the wind was SSE at 14-18 kts and the MHL buoy was seeing 2.5 metres of 7.7 second energy from ENE around to the ESE. Surf was junky and in the chest to shoulder plus range at the “best” exposures.

Hello Friends, Wind was SSW as of 0730 this morning and skies were partly cloudy. At 0500 the MHL buoy was registering 2.4 m at 8 seconds and coming from the SSW to SSE. However, as the pictures show, the energy really wasn’t getting into south ends like Dee Why.
