No surf for Dee Why this morning

Hello Friends, No waves were evident at Dee Why as Wednesday got started. Looks like a nice day though. The waves could come up later though. According to the marine forecast the current metre or so of 5-sec SSW wind bump will build a little around midday as a southerly fills in.

Hello Friends, We had a line-y little south swell making itself felt at the magnets this morning. At 0600 the MHL buoy recorded 1.5 metres of 8.7-second energy from 172° which, at Dee Why, looked to be in the waist to chest high range on sets.

Hello Friends, There was around 2 metres of 10-sec period swell out at sea as of 0800, but it was dead south and, with westerly winds having blown all yesterday and overnight, the energy just wasn’t getting into Dee Why.
