If we are where we are now this time next year under our new manager, would you be demanding his sacking? And at what point would you have demanded it?

Unless catastrophic then I'd hope we would always give at least a season, then reassess in the summer.

The club should only be appointing managers that are expected to steer us through several seasons - if we need to make a change sooner, the club should be more focused on the overall picture of what has gone wrong instead of quick fixes.

Stability is where success grows from.

Yep. Agree. Which to me means the most important tool, if the tool is to be world class, is to break the bank on a world class sporting director with global contacts and respect. Break the bank on that person as the foundation of what we want to achieve.

From there appoint coaches that fit in with our vision and ethos to keep continuity and growth.

I don’t think we are anywhere near that at the moment.

I definitely think alignment between the sporting director/recruitment and the manager is what can be hugely improved. At this stage of fighting to get out of the championship, I think I’d focus on getting a manager, and then lining up a sporting director with input from the manager to get a united front.

I think starting with the sporting director at championship level might be the wrong way round, but who knows.
