NFC West Star Couldn’t Name Single Seahawks Weakness Before Super Bowl

An NFL player familiar with the Seattle Seahawks gave the New England Patriots an ominous warning before Super Bowl LX.

Sidelined with a broken ankle, Fred Warner watched the Seahawks defeat his San Francisco 49ers for the NFC West title in Week 18 before eliminating them in a second-round playoff rematch. The All-Pro linebacker struggled to identify any deficiency from his division rival on “Up & Adams.”

“I hate to say it because obviously I don’t like Seattle,” Warner told Kay Adams on Tuesday. “I don’t like the Rams, I don’t like the Cardinals. Everybody in the division, you don’t like. But of course, you got to give respect where it’s due, and Seattle’s done it at the highest level all year long.”

Warner seemed conflicted about giving the Seahawks so much recognition, but his high praise doesn’t mean the Patriots have no shot this Sunday.

“It’s tough to say. It is,” Warner added. “Here’s the thing, though, when you’re talking about a Super Bowl. It’s not about who the best team is. It’s about who the best team is for that 60 minutes of the game. And anything can happen.”

The 29-year-old explained how New England can leave Santa Clara with its seventh Super Bowl title in franchise history.

“They got to win in all the crucial moments of that game,” Warner said. “All the things you talk about in the possession battle, who has the ball more, who doesn’t turn the ball over, who can get more turnovers. All those little things throughout a game. If the Patriots can find a way to win those little moments, maybe they have a chance.”
