Thomas Frank provides Micky Van de Ven injury update for Tottenham vs Man City
Thomas Frank has offered the latest insight into Tottenham’s injury situation ahead of another crucial Premier League test, including Micky Van de Ven.
Tottenham Hotspur head into another Premier League fixture on the back of a European victory for the second week running.
Last week, Spurs failed to build on a strong European performance after beating Borussia Dortmund, drawing away to Burnley and remaining winless domestically in 2026.
This time, against Manchester City, Thomas Frank will be hoping for a stronger response from his side, who have now secured a place in the round of 16 of the Champions League following a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
Thomas Frank provides injury update ahead of Manchester City clash
Coming into the Premier League clash against Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Spurs boss has several injuries to contend with.
Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven missed out on Wednesday night after becoming the latest players to pick up injuries, although van de Ven could return for Sunday afternoon’s game.
Meanwhile, Lucas Bergvall, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur and Ben Davies remain sidelined with long-term issues.
However, there is still some positive news for Frank, with players who were unavailable in the Champions League due to registration rules now fit and available, with Yves Bissouma, Radu Dragusin, Conor Gallagher and Mathys Tel returning to contention for the weekend.
Frank has since provided an update on the fitness of his Tottenham squad ahead of Spurs’ home Premier League fixture, addressing the situation in comments to football.london.
He said: “Micky is a minor one. It will be touch and go. He was on the pitch yesterday and today but he’s touch-and-go.”
