Patriots Represented Just Once On The Athletic’s All-Rookie Team
The New England Patriots’ rookie class has been absolutely fantastic.
TreVeyon Henderson finished second among rookies in rushing yards (911) and first among rookies in touchdowns (10). Will Campbell brought stability to the offensive line, grading out as the 32nd best offensive tackle in the NFL (72.6), according to PFF. Craig Woodson played more defensive snaps (950) than anyone else on the roster in 2025. Andy Borregales went 27-of-32 field goals (84.4%) during his rookie season, setting a franchise rookie record with a 59-yard field goal in the regular season finale against the Miami Dolphins.
The Athletic wasn’t overly impressed by the class, however…
Dane Brugler put together his “2025 NFL All-Rookie Team” on Thursday, and included just one member of the class: Henderson.
Campbell and Woodson were named runner-up at offensive tackle and safety, respectively. Kyle Williams, Jared Wilson, Elijah Ponder and Borregales were named honorable mentions at their positions. Julian Ashby probably would have earned his way onto the team if it recognized long snappers.
It’s probably a bit much to say they were disrespected, but this class has earned a place among the very best in franchise history if early returns are any indication.
