Mike Vrabel Reveals Keys To Patriots’ Perfect Regular Season Road Record
The Patriots had an incredible game, dominating the Jets 42-10 on Sunday. This victory not only improved New England’s chances of winning the AFC East but also gave it a perfect road record.
New England finished the regular season with an 8-0 road record, and head coach Mike Vrabel was asked on Sunday about the factors contributing to the Patriots’ road success.
“You know, it was a tough one, the first one, just going all the way back to Miami, and I think that was just a really important game for us, being able to battle and give up a punt return, answer with a kickoff return, you know, I mean, going all the way back and just big kick from Andy (Borregales),” Vrabel said.
“And we’ve talked about all those things that have helped us along the way and talked about just unfinished business on the road and being able to, when we needed to, handle the environment and make critical plays and get off to a good start like we did today. So, really proud of this football team and what they’ve been able to do. Any time you travel, it’s difficult, so.”
The Patriots have now pulled off the impressive achievement of going 8-0 on the road during the regular season for the third time, with their previous perfect runs coming in 2007 and 2016.
Hopefully, the Patriots can translate their regular season road success into the postseason, as there’s a chance they might need to win a playoff game on the road to reach the Super Bowl.
