Modes of transport following Blues (9 replies)
With the mention of a trip to Middlesbrough coming up, I was contemplating the different modes of transport I’ve used over the years following Blues.
Special Train
Service train
National Express
Rackaflow
Everton Coaches
Slob Coach
BCFC official coaches (only once for my sins)
Transit van
Blues van carrying the kit (only back from game though - Sheffield Wednesday- Steve Bruce sorted me out)
Police van (about 6-7 of us….long story)
Car
Bus
Lorry (hitchhiked to Middlesbrough)
Taxi
Walking
Running (heap of a car broke down on M5 so I ran (a lot younger then) all the way to the Hawthorns. Get in just after kick off drenched in sweat and knackered. Worth it though, we won 4-2)
Ferry (part of journey to Lucchese in Anglo Italian Cup)
Plane (PL Asia Cup, Malaysia)
Bicycle (had backie (steady on you’re better than that) off a Dutch bloke getting to see us NAC Breda ‘84 preseason.
Bucket list: barge, helicopter, canoe, horseback and one of those Blues Boats down the Thames.
