Ballon d’Or Ceremony: start time, where to watch on TV, Italian and Serie A candidates
The Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place today, Monday, September 22, 2025, at 20:00 CET (19:00 BST): here’s how to watch it live and who the candidates are for Italian and Serie A football.
Football fans are excited to discover the best player of the year at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, which is one of the most anticipated moments of the year.
The ceremony will begin at 20:00 CET (19:00 BST) today, Monday, September 22, 2025 and can be watched live on TNT, discovery+ (UK), Paramount+ (US), as well as L’Équipe’s YouTube channel.
Football Italia will also cover the ceremony with a dedicated LIVEBLOG.
The event will also include other recognitions, such as the Women’s Ballon d’Or, the Men’s and Women’s Kopa Trophy (best young player), Men’s and Women’s Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper) and much more.
Gigio Donnarumma is the only Italian nominee for the Men’s Ballon d’Or, while Sofia Cantore and Cristiana Girelli are Italy’s representatives for the Women’s Ballon d’Or.
Serie A has three representatives for the Men’s Ballon d’Or: Denzel Dumfries and Lautaro Martinez (Inter) and Scott McTominay (Napoli).
