Milan-Bologna – Maignan off injured as Terracciano makes Rossoneri debut
Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has been substituted off in the Rossoneri’s game against Bologna, with Pietro Terracciano coming on to make his debut.
Maignan went down in the 55th minute with what appears to be a calf-related issue and Allegri made the decision to take him off.
Terracciano comes on in his first game for Milan, having signed from Fiorentina in the summer. It is an immediate test for the 35-year-old in a close-fought game.
Maignan injury woe keeps up worrying pattern
In his four seasons with Milan so far, Maignan has yet to go an entire campaign with no injury.
Last season, he missed one match in December and another in April due to muscle and head injuries.
Now, the Rossoneri will be hoping that the injury is not too serious as they may need him in next season’s game against an in-form Udinese who beat Milan rivals Inter prior to the international break.
