Dev Squad Visit Stirling Albion In KDM Evolution Trophy

The Hibernian Development Squad take on Stirling Albion in their second KDM Evolution Trophy league phase fixture!

Darren McGregor’s side travel to Forthbank Stadium on Tuesday evening, with kick-off set for 7:45pm. 

THE LOWDOWN

The Dev Squad were unfortunate to not take points from their KDM Evolution Trophy matchday one clash against Forfar Athletic earlier this month.

Jamie Richardson’s first-half strike was the only goal in a match, netting from close-range on 19 minutes.

The Hibees had more shots on target than their William Hill League Two opponents but were unable to find a clinical edge to beat Loons keeper Neil Stafford.

Two one-on-one opportunities were smothered by Stafford, while Lewis Gillie had a second-half leveller ruled out for a very tight offside call.

Stirling Albion made a disappointing start to their KDM Evolution Trophy campaign, losing 3-0 to Dundee United B at Forthbank Stadium.

The Binos were two down by the break after Emil Franczak and Harry Welsh netted inside the first 45, before Jack Anderson secured the win for the United youngsters with ten minutes remaining. 

Our hosts have won one, drawn one and lost one so far this season in the league, and now sit fifth on five points in League Two after three matches played. 

Their last outing was against our matchday one opponents, Forfar Athletic – with Stirling losing 4-2 on the road to the Loons.
