0 26

Harry Kane has posted a touching message on social media after Heung-min Son called time on his Tottenham Hotspur career, with the former Spurs striker revealing how he felt when the South Korean lifted the Europa League title.

Messages have been pouring in from current and former Tottenham players after the 33-year-old’s exit, which shows the kind of mark he left on the club, both on and off the pitch.

Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro, and others have admitted that it has been an honour to play alongside Son, with all of them waxing lyrical about the kind of player and person he was.

Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and other former Spurs players have also reacted emotionally to Son’s exit, and it is now the turn of another Tottenham legend to do so.

Harry Kane admits he was over the moon when Heung-min Son lifted a Tottenham trophy

The one person that many Spurs fans were waiting to hear from is Son’s former striker partner, Harry Kane, and the Bayern Munich man has not disappointed.

The England captain insisted that his former striker partner deserves everything he has achieved in the game and admitted that he was joyous when he saw the 33-year-old lift the Europa League trophy in Bilbao as Tottenham’s captain.

Kane wrote: “Sonny Sonny Sonny. What can I say? We shared so many magical moments together on and off the pitch over the years. As a person and a player, you deserved all the success you’ve enjoyed.

“One of the very best people in the game. It gave me such joy to see you lift a trophy last season, and no doubt you’ll be a success with your next steps. See you soon.”

Kane and Son were the most iconic partnership in Premier League history

The Premier League has seen many iconic partnerships over the years, but nothing comes close to the Kane-Son one.

Not only did the pair seem to have a telepathic understanding on the pitch, but they also enjoyed each other’s success and appeared to be great mates off the pitch.

Kane and Son combined for 47 goals in the Premier League, which is by far the most in the competition’s history, and it is unlikely that record is going to be beaten anytime soon.
