Exclusive: Elmas wants Torino; Sanabria waits for Cremonese
It wasn’t just Zakaria Aboukhlal, who was secured in a matter of hours. Yesterday, Torino made a surprise trip to Germany (a mission that was supposed to stay under wraps) to also discuss Eljif Elmas, now on the fringes at Leipzig and no longer a part of the German club’s plans.
The fact that the friendly match was precisely between Leipzig and Toulouse gives a clear idea: the Granata were trying to kill two birds with one stone in a single summit.
Elmas wants Torino move
Elmas wants Torino – this is a deal that has nothing to do with Gaetano Oristanio, who remains a hot target, especially since Aboukhlal can cover various roles in the final third.
Elmas has been approached by other clubs, including some from Serie A and beyond. However, he has made Torino his priority. Now it is up to Cairo’s team to act swiftly and stay ahead of any competition.
Cremonese ready to move for Sanabria
Cremonese are on a tear – determined to give Davide Nicola a squad worthy of the fight for survival. After securing Alessio Zerbin, the next goal is to bring in Antonio Sanabria; a pursuit that began back in June and may now finally come to fruition.
Sanabria has interest from abroad, Torino are ready to give the green light and Nicola is hopeful to be reunited with his former protégé – but still, a little more patience is needed.
In the coming days, Cremonese also hope to close in on midfielder Youssef Maleh, owned by Lecce – a name that came out of nowhere on July 16 and now looks ready to become a reality.
