Newcastle Complete £55m Move for Forest Star Anthony Elanga

Newcastle United have confirmed the £55 million signing of winger Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, bolstering Eddie Howe’s attacking options ahead of their return to the Champions League.

The 23-year-old Sweden international arrives at St James’ Park following an impressive campaign with Forest, where he netted six goals and provided 11 assists during the 2024–25 Premier League season. Elanga had joined Forest from Manchester United in 2023 for a reported £15 million and quickly became a standout performer under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Although Nottingham Forest were keen to retain Elanga, the substantial offer proved too good to turn down. The winger, who made 55 appearances for Manchester United after joining their academy at age 12, becomes Newcastle’s latest marquee addition as they prepare for a demanding European campaign.
