Napoli and Bologna exchange documents for Beukema transfer
Napoli and Bologna are reportedly exchanging documents to complete Sam Beukema’s transfer to the Stadio Maradona.
Dutch centre-back Beukema is set to join Napoli in a €31m deal.
Beukema set for Napoli transfer
Sky Sport Italia and Fabrizio Romano report that the two clubs are now exchanging documents to finalise the defender’s transfer.
Football Italia reported earlier this week that Napoli and Bologna had reached a principle of agreement over a deal exceeding €30m.
Beukema had agreed to personal terms with Napoli weeks ago and has always been the Partenopei’s primary target to strengthen their defence.
Beukema, however, is the second defensive reinforcement for Napoli this summer as the Partenopei had previously secured the services of promising centre-back Luca Marianucci from Empoli.
Beukema’s Bologna career
Napoli have also signed Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer from Manchester City and President Aurelio De Laurentiis has recently promised “more new signings” at the Stadio Maradona.
Beukema, 26, joined Bologna for just €8m from AZ Alkmaar in 2023, making 65 Serie A appearances with the Rossoblu and winning the Coppa Italia last season.
