Man United set to undergo a summer of change after bombshell update
Manchester United are set to kick off preparation for their new season next week.
According to journalist Rich Fay, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia have all told Man United that they want to leave the club and will be allowed to report for pre-season duty later to finalise moves.
Even though these five players have shown their interest in parting ways, United will welcome them back to Carrington if their futures are not resolved ahead of the new season.
It is a big summer of change for the Red Devils, especially with two of their academy starlets potentially leaving the club.
Rashford and Garnacho have risen through the ranks and starred in the first team.
Rashford has featured over 400 times for the senior set-up and took over the iconic No. 10 shirt after the departure of legendary Wayne Rooney.
He enjoyed a fantastic 2022-23 campaign, bagging 30 goals and 12 assists.
He truly shone as United’s talisman, and many hoped that his career would finally reach the heights of his talent.
However, the England international has struggled with inconsistent form over the past two seasons.
The 27-year-old could seal a move to Barcelona after Nico Williams decided to sign a new deal with the Athletic Club.
He could also move to Germany, with Bayern Munich reportedly eager to recruit a new winger.
United have slapped a hefty price tag of £70 million on Garnacho. There has been interest from several Premier League clubs and Italy, but any negotiation has yet to reach an advanced stage.
Antony wants to move back to Real Betis, where he found his mojo back in the second half of the previous term.
Offloading Sancho will be a priority due to his social media antics that have left United fans frustrated.
