European giants have held ‘positive talks’ for Man United flop, player is open to move
European giants Juventus are pushing to sign Manchester United flop Jadon Sancho this summer.
Sky Sports reports that Juventus have held ‘positive talks’ with United over the signing of the England international. The player is also open to a move to the club.
The Old Lady are in the market for a winger after failing to reach an agreement with Porto for Portugal international Francisco Conceicao, who joined them on a season-long loan last summer.
They have identified Sancho as an alternative and must now work on reaching an agreement with United regarding a fee and personal terms with the forward.
Juventus are said to be ready to offer one of Dusan Vlahovic, Douglas Luiz, or Timothy Weah in their negotiation with United.
The Red Devils have been linked with Vlahovic and Luiz, but it remains to be seen whether they would be open to accepting either in the deal for Sancho.
United have valued the 25-year-old at £25 million, although they reportedly need at least £14.58m to avoid a loss from his sale under the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Sancho’s wages could be another obstacle for Juventus. If he does not reduce his demands, the Italian side may decide to sign him on loan, with United paying a fraction of his salary.
A move to Juventus could help Sancho reignite his career after failing to live up to the expectations that followed his transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Man United in the summer of 2021.
Joining the Serie A outfit would also allow him to play in the Champions League, an opportunity he will not have gotten at United.
If no agreement is reached regarding his departure, he is expected to resume pre-season training next week.
