Red Sox Vs. Angels Lineups: Marcelo Mayer, Carlos Narváez Sit
The Red Sox and the Angels will play the middle contest of their three-game series Tuesday night at Fenway Park.
Alex Cora will roll out a lineup very similar to the starting nine used Monday when Boston nearly erased a six-run deficit against Los Angeles. The only swap will be Connor Wong replacing Carlos Narváez behind the dish, which means Marcelo Mayer will sit out a second consecutive game after playing eight straight upon his promotion to the big leagues. Abraham Toro, who flashed the leather at third base in the series opener, will stay put at the hot corner.
The starting pitching matchup will feature a battle of right-handers, as Brayan Bello will take the mound opposite Yusei Kikuchi. It’s been a grind of late for Bello, who hasn’t completed at least five innings since May 2.
Here are the starting lineups for Tuesday’s Angels-Red Sox game, which will have full coverage on NESN beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
