Tottenham and Richarlison reach transfer decisions as striker’s plans are revealed
A new report from Brazil has shed light on where Tottenham Hotspur and Richarlison currently stand regarding a potential summer transfer and the kind of clubs that are keeping a close eye on the striker’s situation at the moment.
Injuries have prevented Richarlison from fulfilling his potential at Tottenham Hotspur and a summer exit now looks on the cards for the former Everton man.
Spurs reportedly turned down offers for Richarlison in January, but they are said to be prepared to cut their losses on the player this summer.
Over recent weeks, it has been revealed that Everton are plotting a move to re-sign Richarlison, and a new report has now revealed what the player’s stance is about his future and his next destination.
Tottenham and Richarlison’s transfer stances revealed
A report in Goal Brazil says that, as things stand, the Selecao man’s future looks to be ‘far’ away from Spurs.
They claim that even though Richarlison’s contract runs until 2027, Tottenham are ‘willing to listen to offers’ to offload him. The player himself is also very much open to leaving in search of a new challenge after three seasons at N17.
The report adds that the Lilywhites are expecting ‘concrete approaches’ for the versatile striker this summer, but the player has a clear preference regarding the kind of club he wants to join.
Richarlison wants to compete for titles
Goal Brazil revealed that Palmeiras, Fluminense and Flamengo tried to take the Tottenham man back to Brazil in January, but he turned them down to stay at Hotspur Way.
All three clubs are continuing to monitor Richarlison ahead of the summer window and could make another approach.
It is unclear if the former Everton man is open to returning to Brazil, but the publication asserts that he wants to join a side where he can regain his form and ‘compete for titles’.
