Daniel Levy is reportedly considering making a managerial change at the end of the season and Fabio Paratici is said to be pushing the candidacy of one Italian coach, who has enjoyed plenty of success in Serie A over recent seasons.

Ange Postecoglou’s job appears to be safe for now

Many felt that being knocked out of the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup in a matter of days might make Postecoglou‘s position untenable, especially given that Tottenham are languishing in the bottom half of the table in the Premier League.

However, reports indicate that influential figures at the North London club are still behind Postecoglou and are hoping to see him turn things around.

A fresh update has now suggested that Daniel Levy could look to make a managerial change at the end of the season, with the Spurs chairman now considering several candidates for the role.

This update comes from InterLive, who say that Levy may allow Postecoglou to see things through until the end of the season before going in for a new head coach in the summer.

The club’s former managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, who now works as a consultant for Spurs, is thought to pushing the idea of bringing Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi to the club.

The report asserts that Paratici is now ‘trying to convince’ Levy to appoint the 48-year-old, but the Tottenham supremo is also considering other candidates.

This includes both Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva, who are described in the report as ‘internal leads’ for Spurs.

Will Daniel Levy listen to Paratici’s advice?

It is clear that Levy values Paratici’s input a lot and it is not hard to understand why, with the Italian securing some superb transfer deals for Spurs during his tenure at the club.

However, his managerial picks have not always been spot on, with both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte proving bad fits for Tottenham.

Levy may also want to bring in a manager who can offer some continuity by playing a similar style of football so that the club do not have to completely rip up their blueprint and start over again.
