Why Drake Maye Should Love ‘New’ Faces On Patriots Coaching Staff

The New England Patriots have experienced voices who have won in the building surrounding Drake Maye in 2025.

Head coach Mike Vrabel and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels have Super Bowl rings from their earlier stages with the Patriots in different roles. Both men return for new stints in 2025 in hopes of restoring the franchise to winning ways.

They inherit a second-year quarterback in Maye who made the most of the horrific roster around him during his rookie campaign in 2024. The Patriots appear to have their quarterback of the future and now have a responsibility to surround him with talent and let quality coaches develop him.

Maye made his media rounds during Super Bowl week and raved about his new coaches and even floated his efforts to enhance the Patriots brand around the league.

NESN’s Travis Thomas and George Balekji rounded up Maye’s comments from the week and assessed what’s ahead for the Patriots quarterback on the latest episode of the “Foxboro Rush” podcast.

You can catch the full clip from “Foxboro Rush” on YouTube or on Spotify.
