Chris Antoniazzi appointed Head of Children’s Academy

Queen’s Park has appointed Chris Antoniazzi as Head of Children’s Academy.  Chris who is a graduate of Aberdeen Academy, played at a senior level with Montrose, Cove Rangers, Forfar Athletic and Elgin City before returning to the Granite City as a youth coach in 2020.

Tommy Mcintyre, Academy Director said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris Antoniazzi to Queen’s Park as our Head of Children’s Academy. Chris comes from Aberdeen F.C. and brings with him a wealth of experience coaching young players at the elite level. Chris has over a decade of exposure to top tier coaching within Scottish youth academies and national youth teams.

He is also a former elite youth player with experience competing against academies from the Champions League and world-renowned clubs, bringing a deep understanding of high-level competition.

Chris holds the Advanced Children’s Licence and has a proven track record of leading and assisting various age groups in tournaments and cross border fixtures across Europe. Skilled in utilising performance analysis tools to enhance player development and growth.

He is passionate about developing the individual and having responsibility for creating and implementing individual development plans for every player within the Children’s Academy age groups. Chris relates to the importance of fostering relationship with families in working together to ensure a positive lifestyle approach to player development.”

Chris commented: “ I am delighted to be on board with this historic football club. The academy is in a really good place at the moment and the children’s program is an exciting challenge which I am looking forward to using my knowledge and experience of both my playing and coaching career to develop it even further.”
