Patriots’ Jerod Mayo Takes Hard Stance On Heated Christmas Movie Debate
The New England Patriots prepare to host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17.
New England head coach Jerod Mayo previewed the matchup while speaking to the media Tuesday. He also addressed a longtime Christmas debate.
The 1988 feature film “Die Hard” starring Bruce Willis takes place on Christmas Eve, which has sparked heated debate over the years.
Is “Die Hard” a Christmas movie?
“I’m a huge ‘Home Alone’ guy,” Mayo told reporters, per team-provided transcript. “It was during my time. Then the big debate or back and forth is, is ‘Die Hard’ a Christmas movie, and I say it is. It is. It is.”
The Patriots will enjoy the holidays with their families Wednesday before Saturday’s matchup with the Chargers at Gillette Stadium.
