Antonio Conte to hand Tottenham double transfer blow – Journalist predicts
Italian journalist Paolo Paganini expects Antonio Conte to hand his former club a double transfer blow as he plots new January recruits for Napoli.
Napoli and Spurs to lock horns over player
It has been reported over recent days that both Tottenham and Napoli have set their sights on a deal for Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu.
In fact, it was reported by Fabrizio Romano a few days ago that Antonio Conte had personally met the 19-year-old following Napoli’s clash with Lecce to discuss a potential switch to Naples.
The journalist explained that the Serie A league leaders are all set to join both Spurs and Chelsea in the race for the teenager.
Antonio Conte wants to hand Tottenham a double blow
Interestingly, it has also been reported over recent weeks that Napoli are plotting a move to sign Radu Dragusin from Spurs, but as things stand, neither the player nor the Lilywhites are thought to be open to such a transfer (The Mirror).
Paolo Paganini believes that Conte is determined to bring both Dragusin and Dorgu to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium when the transfer window opens.
The journalist told Rai 2 (as relayed by TEAMtalk): “Be careful because Napoli is ready to make a double move in January. One is Dorgu from Lecce and the other is Dragusin from the Premier League.”
Spurs will not sanction Dragusin sale
Dragusin is evidently a valuable member of Ange Postecoglou’s squad, with the Romanian being one of only three regular centre-backs at the club. The idea that Tottenham would entertain any offers for the 22-year-old in January seems far-fetched.
One would also expect the former Genoa man to get plenty of game time over the next couple of months, especially with Micky van de Ven out injured.
