Jackie to Coleraine on Loan and Extends Contract
Derry City FC can confirm that Ciaron Harkin has signed an extended contract at the club and is joining Coleraine on loan until January 2025.
The midfielder spent a couple of seasons with the Bannsiders previously and became a real hit with the local supporters, and City’s Technical Director Mark McChrystal says it’s an ideal move for all parties.
“Ciaron has spent almost all of the past two years recovering from a double ACL iinjury, and now that he is fully fit, he needs to be getting regular game time.
“Ruaidhri has often spoke about Ciaron’s influence in the squad and in the dressing room generally, and the new contract is further evidence of that.
“He will get a chance now to play regularly at a club where he is comfortable and held in high regard.
“Hopefully it’s deal that will suit all parties and the player will return to the club in the new year ready for the new season.
“I’d like to wish him all the best on the move and look forward to monitoring his progress.”
