Raiders’ rookie tackles help stem Broncos pass-rush
The Broncos’ talented pass-rushing duo of Von Miller (14.5 sacks) and Bradley Chubb (12.0) was held without a sack by the Raiders in Oakland’s 27-14 win Monday night.
Unsurprisingly, head coach Jon Gruden said Wednesday he thought the play of rookie offensive tackles Kolton Miller and Brandon Parker was “pretty good.”
Miller, who per Pro Football Focus has allowed 14 sacks this season, and Parker, who in Week 12 allowed sacks on three consecutive snaps at Baltimore, have struggled at times as rookies. Gruden, though, said he has been “pleased” with the development of both linemen.
“I know Pro Football Focus has some statistics that aren’t always positive,” Gruden said. “But they played very good.
