Longest gap between appearances? (2 replies)

Demarai Gray's last game for us before going to Leicester was a win over Franchise on 28 December 2015.

So that's 3,511 days between appearances for us.

I think the longest though is Ian Muir - from 3 December 1983 (at Anfield) to 12 August 1995 (half-time sub against Ipswich). 4,270 days.

Any longer gaps? And does Gray have the record for gap between consecutive starts?
