Damion Lee practices, upgraded to “probable” for Wednesday
He’s almost back.
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Damion Lee has been upgraded to “probable” for Wednesday night’s home game against the New York Knicks.
Lee has been playing the injury report musical chairs game. On Sunday, the team listed him as “probable” to play in Monday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. But when Monday rolled around, the third-year wing was downgraded to “out.”
On Tuesday, Lee went through his first full practice, and also partook in a three-on-three scrimmage. After those activities went well, the Warriors bumped him back up to “probable.”

Lee hasn’t played since November 11, when he sustained a minor hand fracture in a loss to the Utah Jazz. So far the injury has sidelined Lee for 14 games.
Ultimately, that could cost Lee some money. He’s only on a two-way contract, but was a candidate to have his contract guaranteed at some point. That could still happen, but due to the injury, Ky Bowman should run out of his NBA service time days a lot sooner, which would seem to make him a more likely candidate.
In the 11 games Lee has played in, he’s averaging 10.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 34.3% on three-pointers.
