PK80: Phil Knight Invitational bracket, schedule, teams, and scores
16 college basketball teams will compete in the PK80 tournament to hone Nike co-founder Phil Knight.
In the first game of the Phil Knight Invitational, the No. 9 North Carolina Tar Heels handled the Portland Pilots, 102-78, in the Victory Bracket. The Tar Heels will next face Arkansas on Friday as the Razorbacks improved to 4-0 after defeating the Oklahoma Sooners.
Duke ran into some trouble with Portland State in the first game of the Motion Bracket as the Blue Devils trailed the Vikings 49-45 at the half before pulling away for the eventual 99-81 win. Trevon Duval - who had 22 points in the opening game - and the Blue Devils will now face Texas who held on to beat Butler, 61-48.
In honor of Nike co-founder Phil Knight's 80th birthday and contributions to college basketball, 16 college basketball teams will compete in the Phil Knight Invitational in Portland, Oregon, this week. There are two eight-team brackets, and each bracket is limited to only one team per conference. The games will take place on Nov. 23, 24, and 26 at the Moda Center and the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. ESPN (livestream) outlets will broadcast each matchup.
The Victory Bracket consists of these eight teams: Portland Pilots, North Carolina Tar Heels, Oklahoma Sooners, Arkansas Razorbacks, UConn Huskies, Oregon Ducks, Michigan State Spartans, and the DePaul Blue Demons.
The Duke Blue Devils, Butler Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes, Portland State Vikings, Stanford Cardinal, and the Texas Longhorns are all in the The Motion Bracket.
