Villanova transfer Acaden Lewis commits to Miami
By JAMES MADDEN
Miami has landed another sought-after transfer in Villanova transfer Acaden Lewis, he announced on Instagram. A highly-regarded recruit from Washington, DC, Lewis was a key contributor for Villanova this season, en route to the NCAA Tournament.
Averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 assists per game, Lewis was a member of the Big East All-Freshman team and was also named to the All-Big East Second Team as a true freshman.
Lewis was originally committed to Kentucky in high school, but de-committed in April of last year and signed with Villanova following the hiring of Kevin Willard. Following his de-commitment from Kentucky, Lewis took an official visit to Miami after Jai Lucas was hired but ultimately committed to Villanova a few days later.
Now, the uber-talented guard will be headed to Coral Gables to play for Lucas in his second season with the Hurricanes.
Known for his recruiting history at Duke, Lucas also landed a commitment from highly-touted Georgia transfer big man Somto Cyril.
