Men's Softball Pan American Championship to open on Saturday in Monteria

The Men's Softball Pan American Championship opens on Saturday, 21 February in Colombia, with eight games scheduled across the Amin Manzur and Luis Pocaterra stadiums in Monteria. The Dominican Republic and Guatemala will play the first of 57 scheduled games at 09:00 local time.

The event serves as a qualifier for the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup 2028/2029.

The 13 participating teams have been allocated into three groups for the Opening Round (21–23 February):

  • Group A: World No. 3 Argentina, No. 21 Cuba, No. 22 Panama, Aruba, Puerto Rico
  • Group B: World No. 2 Venezuela, No. 4 Canada, No. 13 Colombia, No. 34 Peru
  • Group C: World No. 5 USA, No. 8 Mexico, No. 11 Dominican Republic, No. 12 Guatemala

The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Round, scheduled from 24 to 27 February. The fifth-place game, bronze medal game and final will be played on 28 February.

All games will be live streamed on GameTime. A Tournament Pass is available for USD 14.99, while Daily Passes can be purchased for USD 7.99.
