Reliever Daniel Robert will return to the Phillies organization for the 2026, according to a Tuesday morning report.

Robert will sign a minor-league deal with Philadelphia, per the New York Post’s Jon Heyman. The right-hander will have an invite to big-league spring training.

The 31-year-old Robert was acquired by the Phillies last season in a trade with the Texas Rangers, and he had a 4.15 ERA in 15 appearances with the club. He missed time on the injured list due to a blister issue, then finished the year on the 60-day IL with a strained right forearm.

The Phillies non-tendered Robert and fellow reliever Michael Mercado in November. Both will now be back with the team on minor-league deals this season.

Robert, who bounced between Triple-A and the majors throughout the 2025 season, will serve as bullpen depth for the Phillies. A former college hitter and first baseman, he’s still only made 197 regular-season appearances on the mound since high school and had a 2.67 ERA in 28 Triple-A outings in the Phillies and Rangers systems last year.
