WBSC brings Baseball, Softball & Baseball5 to Olympic Week in Lausanne
From 12 to 16 October, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) took part in Olympic Week, held at The Olympic Museum and its surroundings in the Olympic capital, Lausanne, Switzerland.
The Baseball, Softball and Baseball5 showcase was organised this year with the valuable support of the Lausanne Indians baseball club.
The WBSC activation featured fun introductions to Baseball, Softball, and Baseball5, including playing catch, T-batting, the batting cage, and Baseball5 games. WBSC and its partners also handed out giveaways to the participating children.
Created in 1981, this unmissable event from The Olympic Museum has established itself as the must-attend event for the young public during the autumn holidays in Lausanne. The 44th edition concluded successfully, welcoming more than 9,000 participants who enjoyed five days of sport and culture, with over 40 exciting and free activities celebrating the Olympic spirit.
Open to youngsters aged 6 to 15, Olympic Week offered daily opportunities to try out new sports, take part in educational workshops, and enjoy family-friendly activities, including themed days.
