Chris Suero, Nick Morabito Named AFL Fall Stars

Mets prospects Chris Suero and Nick Morabito have been named to the Arizona Fall League’s Fall Stars Game. The duo will represent the Scottsdale Scorpions in the game, which takes place on Sunday at 8:00 PM EST.

The Bronx-born Suero is batting .264/.333/.556 with five homers in 60 plate appearances and has swiped seven bases without getting caught. He served as the Scorpions’ designated hitter on Wednesday, though he’s also caught six games and played four games in left field and two at first base. Suero was ranked as the Mets’ No. 14 prospect in MMO’s Top-50 Prospect list in August.

Morabito, meanwhile, is batting .345/.441/.466 in 68 plate appearances and has stolen 13 bases in 15 tries. He stole 49 bases in 118 games for Double-A Binghamton this season. MMO ranked Morabito as the Mets’ No. 16 prospect in the August update.
