Grading the 2025 Mets
It sucks that we already have to start grading the 2025 Mets. We all thought we could wait until Friday, at the earliest. But here we are.
This year, we’re going to release all the grades for the report cards today, then release individual report cards taking more in-depth looks at each player as we usually do. (David Peterson will be the first on Wednesday.)
One of the tougher things behind the scenes come report card time is, naturally, settling on the exact grade. It’ll be four weeks after the season, sometime in early November, and there are eight MMO writers spending time debating whether Ryne Stanek gets a D or D+. However, this 2025 team deserves an immediate, slightly emotional analysis of the disappointment that was the 2025 season. Grades of the players’ performances cannot be softened with time.
So, here are the grades for your 2025 Mets.
