Springs takes the Mound in Detroit

Our Athletics take on the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit this morning (1:10 PM local time) hoping to take the series finale, and the series from the Tigers before heading to New York to face the Yankees tomorrow. After dropping game one, the A’s came back to shut out Detroit behind the strong seven-inning shut-out performance by Jacob Lopez.

Jefferey Springs gets the call today. The 32-year-old lefty is 6-5 with a 4.24 ERA in sixteen starts in 2025. He has yet to face off against the Tigers since donning an A’s uniform. He’ll go up against Dietrich Enns, a 34-year-old lefty out of Central Michigan University. Enns is 2-0 with a 3.42 ERA in eleven appearances over his entire career and was just called up officially today for his first 2025 start.
