SBN Reacts: GMs around the league
We name the best front office — and the earliest date a front office will fire its manager
Our latest Reacts survey did not include a White Sox-specific question, although let’s be honest, you would not have wanted to know the answer!
The survey plays off of the recent New York Times survey that named the Los Angeles Dodgers as the best front office in the game. Among a handful of teams not only at the bottom of the rankings but receiving ZERO votes (for two straight seasons!) were the White Sox.
Our Reacts poll follows suit, giving Andrew Friedman and Brandon Gomes with the Dodgers its top marks — with Friedman’s former club, the Tampa Bay Rays, as runner-up:
Presumably, the Braves finish in the third spot simply by virtue of having made recent trades with the White Sox.
In an adjacent question, readers were also surveyed as to how soon a manager would find himself out of work this season:
It would seem that Will Venable would not be among those on the hot seat, but maybe check back on that when the club is 21-108 in August.
