Looking to make it four in a row

The Athletics are in a new city set to take on a brand new opponent for a weekend series. Coming to town fresh off a sweep and on a winning streak, the A’s will try to keep things going that way as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers for the first of three games on Friday evening at American Family Field.

Starting the series off for the team will be rookie right-hander JT Ginn. The 25-year old looked impressive in his first start of the season last week when he shut down the New York Mets, pitching into the sixth inning and allowing just a single run to a lineup full of superstar players. He’ll be looking to build off that strong start and continue to solidify his spot in the starting rotation.

The Athletics will line up behind Ginn like this to start the series:

All the regulars in there for the first game of the series. The best lineup the A’s have, and they’re using it against Milwaukee’s ace.

The Brewers Crew will counter Ginn with right-hander Freddy Peralta. The 28-year old, who started Opening Day for the Brew Crew, has gotten off to a typically great start so far here in 2025. Through three starts he’s sporting a pristine 2.31 ERA with a 28/8 K:BB ratio. The A’s bats weren’t tested much in Chicago but they’ll be facing the best Milwaukee has to offer right away to start the series. Runs will be at a premium tonight.

The Brewers’ lineup for tonight looks like this:

Time to start the weekend with a win. Let’s go A’s!
