Aidan Miller and Justin Crawford headline the Phillies’ roster of top prospects for the 2025 Spring Breakout game.

The event was established by MLB in 2024 for clubs to showcase their top prospects from various levels of the minor leagues. All 30 clubs will compete in at least one exhibition game from March 13-16.

This year, the Phillies’ top prospects will take on the top prospects from the Pittsburgh Pirates organization on Friday, March 14 at BayCare Ballpark at 1:05 p.m. ET.

Joining Miller and Crawford on the roster are last year’s first- and second-round picks, outfielders Dante Nori and Griffin Burkholder. Eduardo Tait, an 18-year-old catching prospect, is also expected to play in the game. Phillies Nation‘s Ty Daubert recently ranked Tait as the No. 3 prospect in the Phillies organization.

Gabriel Rincones Jr., who has three home runs in the Grapefruit League so far, is also on the roster. He is Phillies Nation‘s No. 9 ranked prospect.

Moisés Chace is the biggest name scheduled to take the mound for the Phillies. The club’s No. 5 prospect, according to Phillies Nation, Chace has yet to appear in a Grapefruit League game for the Phillies. He was acquired alongside right-handed pitcher Seth Johnson at last year’s deadline in a deal that sent Gregory Soto to the Baltimore Orioles.

Andrew Painter and Mick Abel are not scheduled to pitch in the game, but will be signing autographs for fans in attendance, per MLB.com‘s Todd Zolecki. Painter, who is expected to make his MLB debut later this summer, is unlikely to pitch in the Grapefruit League. He could begin facing hitters during extended spring training.
