Morning Briefing: Nimmo May Be Back in Lineup Today

0 5

Good morning, Mets fans!

Brandon Nimmo has been held out of action the last few days because of right knee soreness, Carlos Mendoza said Monday. Mendoza said there’s a “low level of concern” surrounding the issue, and the team said he’s scheduled to be in the lineup today. Nimmo told reporters that he feels good about his knee and expects to be back to normal following the team’s day off on Wednesday. However, Nimmo seemed less sure than the Mets that he’d be in the lineup today.

He kept on rolling in the postseason, tossing six shutout innings against Milwaukee in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series, then holding the Phillies to just one unearned run in five-plus innings in Game 4 of the NLDS.
