Think the Reds finish 2nd in the NL Central this year?

We asked you, the readers of Red Reporter dot com, to tell us where you think the Cincinnati Reds will finish in the National League Central this year.
You told us!
Given that the Pittsburgh Pirates are the Pittsburgh Pirates, that the St. Louis Cardinals are in a rare ‘rebuilding’ phase, that the Milwaukee Brewers seem to have reached their payroll capacity, and that the Chicago Cubs will inevitably embarrass themselves on the field of play, I suppose it’s perfectly feasible to think the Reds might end up finishing in 2nd place in the NL Central this year.
As it turns out, you don’t think it’s so crazy, either. In fact, 35% of you think that’s precisely where the Reds will finish, with a rather surprisingly 66% of you thinking they’ll finish in either 1st or 2nd place this year.
Do the math here, and only 1/3rd of you think the Reds finish in 3rd place or worse this year. I applaud the optimism!
In a similar vein, the win range of 81-89 wins received the most votes from you in this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey. I’d venture a guess that somewhere in that range would make a 2nd place finish in the Central a veritable certainty. And much like ‘the Reds will finish 1st in the Central’ finished with the second most votes in that particular poll, the Reds winning 90-99 games tallied the second most support in this poll.
Y’all are clearly enthusiastic about the 2025 edition of the Cincinnati Reds. Maybe that’s because nobody has watched this club for the better part of 30 years. Maybe it’s because you know the baseball gods can’t possibly wreck the 2025 vintage the way they wrecked things this time last year, and this team - when healthy - actually has potential!
