[Men's Basketball] Late Comeback Not Enough, as Saints Fall to Wave
Whiting, Ind. The Holy Cross men's basketball team continued their conference play today, when they traveled to Calumet College of St. Joseph to take on the Crimson Wave. The Saints offense was efficient shooting the ball in today's game. The Saints shot 56% from the field in the first half and Tommy Snyder led the way with 13 points in the half. The Crimson wave were able to capitalize off the Saints turnovers and would give them a 39-34 lead at halftime. The Saints offense did not slow down in the second half, shooting 48% from the field and 43% from three-point range. Storm Cook was able to knock down four three-pointers in the half and score 14 points. Despite the good shooting from the Saints the Crimson Wave would continue to knock down shots and seal the game with free throws. The Saints would lose 80-76. With the loss, Holy Cross drops to 10-10 overall and 6-7 in conference play, while the Crimson Wave improve to 4-10 and 4-8.
