Mets Make Roster Moves Ahead of Series Opener with Reds
The MLB trade deadline has come and gone, and to make room for the Mets’ new acquisitions, Javier Baez and Trevor Williams, the Mets made roster moves on Friday night.
Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, the Mets designated Nick Tropeano and Akeem Bostick for assignment. They also transferred Sean Reid-Foley to the 60-day injured list to clear room on the 40-man roster for Carlos Carrasco’s return on Friday night, as well as to make room for Javier Baez and Trevor Williams, traded to the Mets on Friday just prior to the conclusion of the trade deadline.
Carrasco will be the starting pitcher for the Mets Friday night against the Reds.
