Jose Abreu and Hunter Dozier Leave Game After Big Collision
After popping the ball up in the infield, Hunter Dozier collided with Jose Abreu as the White Sox first basemen was coming down the line hard looking up to field the ball.

As you can see in the above video, both men appeared to be looking up at the pop fly, completely unaware of the other barring down towards them. Dozier was coming out of the batter’s box fast as Abreu was moving forward toward the ball. The two players immediately went down hard after bouncing off each other and were taken out of the game. It did not look good as both players were helped off of the field and will certainly have to go through the league’s concussion protocols.
The Royals took Game 1 of the doubleheader, beating the White Sox 6-2, and it would be shocking to see Dozier or Abreu in the lineup for Game 2 scheduled to start at 8:40 p.m. ET.
At the FanDuel Sportsbook, Chicago is -194 on the moneyline and -1.5 home favorites on the run line for the second game of the day.
