[Women's Tennis] St. Ambrose sweeps Dubuque 9-0
St. Ambrose had little problem in defeating Dubuque 9-0 Saturday in Dubuque, Iowa.
The Bees dropped just four games combined in the three doubles matches and lost a total of 19 games over the six singles wins in moving to 1-2 this fall.
Kiersten Housenga didn't drop a single game. She teamed with Meg Chadick for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles and then won her match at No. 2 singles by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
Alison Hanson also cruised to victory in singles with her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6.
Kaylee Camp earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles and Kelsey Jaeger won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5. Megan Schueneman was challenged in the second set of her match at No. 3 singles before she prevailed 6-2, 6-4. Chadick had the toughest match of the day. She won the No. 1 singles match 7-5, 6-3.
The No. 2 doubles team of Schueneman and Saryn Seeley and the No. 3 team of Gillian Sondgeroth and Lexi Yaddof each won by identical 8-2 scores.
The Bees will next host Iowa Central Sunday at noon.
