With the Mets playing at 9:20, we have time to run a minor league chat. Two of the Mets’ top position player prospects A.J. Ewing and Elian Peña are off to great starts to the 2026 season. One of the Mets top pitching prospects, Jack Wenninger, will be on the mound tonight for Triple-A Syracuse.
Baseball America has named A.J. Ewing as one of their largest risers in their most recent Top 100 Prospects list, moving from #68 to #37. Before the season Ewing was ranked #83. They describe Ewing as a complete player who can hit, run and field on a consistent basis.
