For the second consecutive year, the WBSC has awarded National Activity Ranking Bonus points to Member Federations in recognition of their efforts to grow and promote Baseball5 at the national level.

A total of 62 federations (+63% from 2024) across all five Olympic continents (20 in Asia, 18 in Europe, 11 in Africa, 9 in the Americas and 4 in Oceania) submitted activity reports, with bonuses ranging from 100, 250 and 500 points based on initiatives such as competitions, school programmes, community engagement, and digital promotion.

The WBSC allocated the bonus after an evaluation of application reports submitted after January 31, 2026, and which included:

  • Overview of the federation's 2025 Baseball5 activities, including clubs, leagues, and championships.
  • Links to active digital or social media platforms promoting Baseball5.
  • Reports, articles, photos, or other documentation of promotional or development initiatives.
  • Evidence of Baseball5 implementation in schools, communities, or institutional programmes.

Several programmes made notable entries into the rankings for the first time with Jordan (500 points) entering in 34th place while American Samoa, Bangladesh, Fiji, Hungary, Mongolia, Nepal, DPR Korea, Slovakia (250 points) are ranked 49th.

A total of 12 new programmes entered the WBSC Baseball5 World Ranking for the first time:

  • Africa (1) - Niger
  • Asia (7) - Bangladesh, Jordan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, DPR Korea
  • Europe (2): Hungary, Slovenia
  • Oceania (2): Fiji, Palau

The overall number of programmes increased from 70 to a record 76 - further underlining the rapid global expansion of the discipline.

At the top of the ranking, Cuba continues to lead the global standings with 5,827 points while Chinese Taipei climbed two spots to No. 2 on 4,801 points, followed by Japan at No. 3 with 4,385 points, France (only 10 points behind on 4,375 points) and Mexico, who moved up one spot with 3,843 points to complete the top five.

As per the previous update on 23 April after the Asia Cup, the points include results from WBSC Baseball5 World Cups, Youth World Cups, and regional competitions held between 2024 and 2026, providing a comprehensive overview of both performance and development.
