[Men's Soccer] Spooner Tallies Hat Trick in Regular-Season Finale
LAURINBURG, N.C. – With the 6-0 shutout of St. Andrews University on Saturday, the Bryan College men's soccer team caught fire right when they needed to, finishing out the regular-season by winning nine of their last 11 matches. In the regular-season finale against the Knights, the Lions saw Brad Spooner (JR/Norwich, England) lead the attack by completing the hat trick, followed by the trio of Jonathan Ricketts (JR/Dayton, Tennessee), Lucas Mattos (JR/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), and Felipe Teruel (FR/Londrina, Brazil) who collected one goal apiece. Helping complete the clean sheet was a defensive stand pieced together by Bryan that allowed only one shot to St. Andrews, compared to the 23 total looks and 12 on target produced by the Lions.
