[Baseball] Puga Named KCAC Baseball Player of the Week
WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University sophomore Troy Puga has been selected as the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week, the organization announced today (Apr. 30).
Puga had a huge week in helping the Falcons win three out of four games, including two out of three at Bethany.
In the opening tilt against the Swedes, Puga had a career-high four hits that featured his first career triple, while also driving in three runs to power an 11-10 win.
The Pueblo, Colo. native batted .600, slugged .867 and had six RBIs overall last week.
Puga is hitting .390 on the season with a .597 slugging percentage.
The Falcons are the third seed in the upcoming KCAC postseason tournament and are gearing up to face fourth-seeded Southwestern College Wednesday night (May 2) at 7 pm in Great Bend, Kan.
